About Soul Dog Training

My name is Andria Norris, and I am the owner of Soul Dog Training.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), and also a graduate of UNH with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Blending the two gives me a unique perspective on human learning theory and the world of animal behavior.

Life is an ongoing learning opportunity, and ongoing education is very important to me. That said, I regularly participate in advanced training and behavior courses, programs, and workshops to stay current with modern, science-based practices. I also happily like to geek out on dog‑training podcasts, books, and seminars whenever I can.

Growing up in NH helped shape and nurture my love of nature and animals into an extensive, hands-on experience in animal care – experiences include having worked in an animal shelter, volunteering and fostering for a local nonprofit rescue, caring for horses, teaching horseback riding lessons, and even providing volunteer support at a wolf sanctuary (one of my favorite life experiences)! Currently, I help run a day boarding/training facility. Each of these experiences has strengthened my belief that animals learn best and thrive when met with patience, clarity, and thoughtful guidance.

I bring my blend of education, experience, continued curiosity, and genuine compassion to the families I work with. My work and passion are driven by a genuine love for animals and a deep commitment to helping families understand their dogs more clearly, communicate more effectively, and build relationships rooted in trust, empathy, and connection.
